Are you a reading room? Can we sit and read the books? Can we bring our own books to read?
We are not a Reading room (designated 'quiet' spaces that one typically finds in libraries). But you are welcome to browse and explore any number of books at your leisure. If you are looking for community reading spaces, please ask us and we would be happy to share any information we have.
Do you host regular events or reading sessions? Can we book the space and/or conduct our own events at the store?
We do not currently host regular events at the bookshop. Our constraints include space and bandwidth. Exceptions are few and far between. But if you're looking to host an event around books/reading, please write to us with details and we will review and respond.
Do you sell and/or buy used books?
We do not sell or buy used books. We know what a treasure trove used bookshops can be. There are several second hand bookshops in the city that you could sell/donate to, or buy used books from, and we're happy to share any information on them that we have.

I have written and self-published a book. Would you stock my book?
We wish you the very best for your book and your writing journey. However, we do not accept unsolicited requests to stock self-published books.
Can I place an order with you for specific books?
We do not take on individual orders. Being a curated bookshop, our hope is that you will find something of interest in what we have chosen to keep on our shelves. If the book you want is already part of our curated list, you can be sure that we will stock/restock this over time.
Do you sell gift vouchers?
Yes, we do. We offer vouchers in three denominations (INR 500, 1000, 2500) and the voucher is redeemable in store, anytime within a year of issue. If you can't make it to the store to pick up a physical voucher, we're happy to email you a digital voucher. Just give us a call or email us and we will make it work.
Why can't I pay online and order my book? Why am I only placing a request?
We are primarily a physical bookshop. When you place a request for books on the website, one of us in the shop will locate the book on our shelves, reserve it for you, and then reach out to you to coordinate payment. Given that we rarely hold more than 2-3 copies of a book - and in many cases we have only a single copy left - it's possible that the book is bought by someone in store on the same day and we no longer have a copy available. This process is higher touch than 'click to buy' but this way we are comfortable that we accept payment only when we have located and reserved your books.
Can I Cancel a Request for books that I have submitted?
Sure. When you place a request, you will hear from us usually within 1 business day, via email. If you have changed your mind, you can let us know at this time and we will cancel the Request. If you change your mind after we have sent you a payment link, simply skip paying! The payment link is valid for 48 hours, and so if payment has not been received, the request is automatically cancelled and the books are released back on to their shelves. Once payment is made, however, the transaction is not cancellable.
How long would the books take to reach me?
We ship books twice a week. Typically, the books should reach you within 4-5 days of shipping. Please note that there may be some unexpected delays on the part of our courier partners sometimes, which we can't control. We will, in such cases, keep you posted. Tracking information will be shared with you by the courier partner as soon as the package is picked up by them.
What is your Return policy?
Books once purchased cannot be returned. In case of damage, please write to us at hello@lunabooks.in.
